Kayla Gomez Orozco was born September 5th, 2006. Kayla attended Jack Elementary School located in Tyler Tx, where she quickly became our close friend. During Kayla's fourth grade year, two months after her 10th birthday, she was tragically taken from us. November 1st, 2016, Kayla was taken from her local church. Throughout her disappearance the community was heavily involved in the search for her. She was very loved and cared for by everyone she met. On November 5th, 2016, she was found. Unfortunately she suffered abuse throughout her captivity and was found deceased. The community was heavily impacted by this tragedy. 2025 would have been Kayla's graduation year and since she cannot be here with us, we wanted to do something special in her memory and honor. This is how The Fly High Project was created and we will use our platform to now educate young children, encourage community involvement/safety, and lastly honor Kayla's memory.
